Associate Dean Laura Padilla receives the Governors’ Award, presented by Stanford Associates, in recognition of volunteer service to her alma mater, Stanford University.  Padilla is one of eight individuals out of over 200,000 living alumni chosen to receive the award this year.  The awards ceremony takes place Saturday, April 18 at Stanford University.

California Western’s Institute for Criminal Defense Advocacy hosts the 4th Annual Janeen Kerper Trial Skills Academy from April 27 - May 1.  The Spanish-language program trains lawyers from Latin American countries in oral trial advocacy skills.  Sixty people are expected to participate, including lawyers from Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.
