CWSL Library News

If you want to discuss or contest any of your charges, you need to come in BEFORE this deadline.  Please read the following for further details.

Please settle your Library accounts accrued through the end of the Spring 2015 trimester (including any fees from previous trimesters).  Please clear up all of your library fines/pay printing charges by Wednesday, May 6, 2015 – no later than 3:00PM.

At the end of the business day on May 6, unsettled accounts of the following amounts will be sent to the Business Office and will be final:

  • Overdue Library fines: $25.00 and up
  • Charges for lost Library materials: costs vary
  • Lab printing fees: $5.00 and up (Spring Graduates only)

Instructions on how to check your library record for fines or your lab account for outstanding printing charges are below:

Library Fines:
Go to http://kim.cwsl.edu/patroninfo
Enter your last name and bar code number from your student ID and click SUBMIT.  If you have Library fines, the amount will be listed on the right column.  For a detailed accounting of fines, click on the fine link.

Lab Printing Fees: To determine your printing balance, log into a CWSL Student Lab workstation and place your mouse on the dollar symbol in the bottom right of the computer screen (next to the time). A window will pop up with a dollar amount on it.  If you have a negative balance, you owe money.  For more information on checking your printing balance, see the lab website section on how to check your printing balance.

We will *not* negotiate Library charges once they have been sent to the Business Office.  If you have concerns or wish to contest any charge, you must come and see us BEFORE 3:00PM, May 6.

Please note that if your accounts are not settled by the time grades are mailed out, your grades *WILL be held*.  Graduates, please note, transcripts will also be held.

Please see Wassila Almeida-Cabral or Amy Moberly in the Library Administration offices on the second floor of the 290 Library building between 8:00AM-4PM, Monday-Friday to settle accounts. We are unable to accept credit or debit cards, so please have cash or check handy. If you have questions regarding lab printing accounts, please see Barbara Glennan (bglennan@cwsl.edu), or Daniel Starnes (dstarnes@cwsl.edu).
