Work Scheduled for Library Exterior October 9-31

The north side of the Law Library (facing the freeway) is scheduled for needed stucco repairs beginning Thursday, October 9. Work is expected to last until October 31, barring unforeseen issues, according to the following schedule:

  • October 9 – 16: Attaching scaffolding to the outside of the building (This is necessary to ensure worker safety)

  • October 17 – 24: Resurfacing the façade of the building

  • October 25 – 31: Removing the scaffolding

We anticipate that most of the noise will not be perceptible from inside the building, with the exception of the attachment and removal of scaffolding. You may see workers outside the window and the ambient light level will be reduced by the scaffold covering. This will affect the group study rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors, and the 2nd floor table areas.

Alternative study space is available on the south (Cedar Street) side of the Law Library and in the Stanford Reading Room, on the first floor of the classroom building. Students may also sign up for small study rooms at the Security desk in the lobby of the classroom building.

We apologize for any inconvenience this work causes.
