**Need a Summer or Fall job?  The Spring 2014 Recruiting Program is underway!**

There are over 130 jobs advertised!!!
Take your time and read through them – do not be caught at the last minute!
We will be continuing to add/update jobs as they come in, so keep checking!

Applications for this Program must be uploaded to Symplicity
by Thursday, February 13, 2014, by 5:00 p.m.!

However, some applications require that you submit them to the employer directly, so pay CAREFUL ATTENTION to the “How to Apply” section in each listing.

Opportunities are vast and include, but are not limited to, the following types of employers:

 a.   Law Firms
b.     Federal, State and Local Government Employers
c.     Pro Bono Positions with Public Interest Organizations
d.     Post-Graduate Positions
e.    Judicial Externships (while you are a student)

Why should I participate in Sprig Recruiting?

This is ONE of the MANY steps that you MUST take to find law clerk & post-graduate job opportunities for Summer and Fall 2014.  This Program is the FIRST step toward gaining the legal experience you MUST have in order to ensure that you are the most marketable to employers during and after law school. The jobs that you find through the Program should provide you with the practical legal experience demanded by prospective employers.

We have recently posted many job opportunities related to the Spring 2014 Recruiting Program.  You can find all these great opportunities on the Career Services Online Job Database at: https://law-cwsl-csm.symplicity.com/students/.   Go to the “Current Jobs” section, search by “Position Type” and you will see that the Spring 2014 Recruiting Program jobs are separated into two categories.  Select a category to search for jobs in that specific area.

 1) General Law Clerk and Post-Bar Clerk Positions: Spring 2014 Recruiting – Deadline 5:00 pm 2/13/14

2) Judicial Externship and Clerkship Positions: Spring 2014 Recruiting – Deadline 5:00 pm 2/13/14

You can also narrow down your search by typing in keywords, geographic regions, and practice areas.

 ******A few important reminders*******

  • If you have not done so already, order Student Issued Copy (Unofficial) of your Transcript from the Registrar to upload to Symplicity.  Do not upload the online version of your transcript.
  • Your writing sample should not exceed 10 pages and you should always include a writing sample cover page (see the Writing Sample section on your Career Development Guide.)

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 through the Symplicity Job Database.  Keep in mind, some employers require you to send your application materials directly to them either via U.S. Mail, Fax or Email. The same deadline applies in either case. Be sure to read the “How To Apply” section in each job listing carefully so you submit your materials correctly.
