(Free for Student Members but space is limited)

Wine and Refine – A Wine Mixer to Hone Your Networking Skills event co-hosted by the Student Committee and the Mentorship Program of Lawyers Club.

The event is organized as a speed-mentoring format where students learn networking tips at five stations focusing on the following networking areas:

  • How to introduce one’s self at a networking event and how to effectively break into a group
  • Honing your “elevator pitch” for a networking event
  • Post networking event follow up and what to do
  • Miscellaneous tips such as networking resources, networking “dos and don’ts,” how to dress, and other tips
  • Networking and social media

At each station, we hope to have 2-3 attorneys giving advice on the specific topic to a small group of students. Throughout this portion of the event, the students will move throughout the different stations. The speed mentoring will be followed by a reception where students will be able to mingle with attorneys and practice their newly learned networking skills.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, 5:30-7:30 pm at Vin De Syrah, 901 5th Avenue San Diego, CA 92101.

The event will be a great opportunity to learn and refine your networking skills, get tips from attorneys how to effectively network. We will be giving away some door prizes, including coffee and lunch meetings with attorneys in San Diego. For more information please visit www.lawyersclubsandiego.com check under “events”.
