The Lawyers Club Balance Committee and Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association (MAMAs) present the annual “Bring Your Child to Work: A Lunch and Learn”.

Thursday, 4/26/12
12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
The Bristol Hotel, 1055 First Avenue, Downtown San Diego.

Join Lawyers Club Members for a fun and interactive discussion with the children of Lawyers Club to learn what children really think about growing up with a lawyer parent. The first panel will comprise children of attorneys, ages 12-15, including Aliya Bacal Peterson, Natalie Stone, Evan Beck, and Sydney Schenk, and will be moderated by Junichi Semitsu, professor at the University of San Diego School of Law. The second panel will comprise adult children of mother attorneys, including Shaka Johnson, Craig Fuller, Meredith Brown, and Karsten Boone, and will be moderated by Jacquelyn Slotkin, professor at California Western School of Law. We encourage members to bring their own mothers, and will provide arts & crafts tables, goodie bags for children (kindly provided by Shelburne & Sherr Court Reporting), and a family-friendly lunch for all! Optional After-Event: A “Harry Potter Mock Trial” will follow in the presiding courtroom, with Hon. Joan Weber officiating, followed by a tour of the holding cells and courthouse, and a conversation with Presiding Judge Trentacosta.

Please contact Balance Committee Co-chairs, Tamera Weisser or Teresa Beck, with any questions or for more information. Doors open 11:45 a.m.

Members, $25; Non-members, $30; Students, $20; Children, $14; At the door (if space is available), $30. Register here.
