The Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) is dedicated to increasing awareness of the inequities that exist in the legal system and the need for commitment to public service work and to encouraging law students to become involved in public interest law during law school and in practice.  To address these concerns, PILF has established the “Josi Dixon PILF Fund” to facilitate student clerkships with public interest agencies and to honor the memory of 2006 California Western alumna, Josi Dixon.

The Josi Dixon PILF grants are primarily funded through fundraising efforts of student PILF member volunteers.  The number and actual dollar amount of grants distributed each year will depend on the number of applicants and the amount of money raised by the PILF auction, other events and contributions.

California Western students in their first, second or third year of law school who are dues-paying active PILF members are eligible.

All application materials are due in Career Services by 3:00 pm on Thursday March 22, 2012.  For more information, contact Jill Blatchley in the Career Services office at or Michelle Stavros at
