In Round II of the Fall 2011 Job Application Submission Program, you will find local and national employers seeking law clerks and entry level attorneys for this fall, next spring, next summer and next year. The employment opportunities are vast and include the following types of employers:

a.   Law Firms in San Diego and around the country

b.   Local and Regional Employers

c.      Federal, State and Local Government Employers

d.      Pro Bono Positions with Public Interest Organizations

e.      Local and Regional Judicial Externships (while you are a student) and Judicial Clerkships (post-graduate)

These great job opportunities are available online at: https://law-cwsl-csm.symplicity.com/students. Go to the “Current Jobs” section and search by “Position Type.” You will see that the Round II jobs are separated into two categories:

(1)  Round II – Fall 2011 Job Application Submission Program (UPLOAD to Symplicity by 5:00 p.m. 9/8/11): These jobs require you to upload your applications to Symplicity. Some employers may be interviewing on campus, while others will conduct interviews at their offices. Check the “How to Apply” section in each listing for further details.

(2)  Round II – Fall 2011 Job Application Submission Program (SUBMIT Directly to the Employer by 9/8/11): These jobs require you to submit your application materials directly to the employer (via U.S. Mail, fax or e-mail). The “How to Apply” section in each listing will tell you specifics on how you will submit your materials. These employers will NOT be coming on campus for interviews and will contact you directly.

The majority of your questions about applying to Round II jobs are answered on our “FAQ webpage” which is available at this link: U:\CSD\2011 Fall Interview Program\FAQ-RoundII-Fall2011.pdf. But, if you are unable to view “current jobs” on the Online Job Database (Symplicity), please contact the Career Services Office at (619) 525-7087 to find out what materials you are missing.

Keep in mind that we continue to post jobs on our regular jobs database for immediate positions.  Do not forget to keep checking these listings as well.  Many employers are hiring now for immediate placement and Fall 2011 positions.
