The Restorative Justice Mediation Program (RJMP) is offering a seventeen hour VICTIM OFFENDER MEDIATION TRAINING.  The training course includes basic victim-offender mediation training, lectures, videos, role play and introduction to peace circles.  Trainees who agree to mediate cases with RMJP will receive valuable experience in conflict resolution among youth, and transferable skills to all walks of life.

RJMP offers crime victims and juvenile offenders an effective alternative to the traditional criminal justice system.  RMJP offers its services to probation, the police, the courts, school districts, and other service agencies.  It provides juvenile offenders a chance to take responsibliity and make amends as well as give the victim a voice and an opportunity to ask questions and to describe the effects of the offense.

The training will be offered June 8, 9 and 11, 2011.
