This seminar will discuss ethical dilemmas; dealing with people who are never wrong; how confidential is confidentiality; and how culture impacts the process.   Topics to be discussed include typical challenges facing mediators in litigated cases:

· When the lawyer is wrong and the client is confused
· When the value of the case is exceeded by its legal fees
· When everyone needs to save face
· When there is overwhelming emotion
· When there are cultural differences
